Jordan + Shadrach's Engagement

love is patient, love is kind | I Corithians 13

Courtship is a commitment to honor God as you seek a life partner and to protect both individuals in the process of confirming God’s will. It focuses on obedience to the principles of God’s Word and the fulfillment of His plan in the lives of the man and woman. (See Matthew 6:33.) It honors the authorities He has placed in your lives and provides the unique protection they can offer. #IBLP

Our Proposal

JORDAN: My family and I were going to visit my future in laws. I knew NOTHING... All I knew was that Shadrach was going to propose on March 11, 2023 and there wasn't anything you could tell me lol. (So I thought).

Shadrach, my Mother-in-Love and my mother were all planning this entire proposal in February without my knowledge.

Shortening it because I hate writing lol -->. Shadrach convinced me to wear a dress, because he knew I told my mom NOT to let me look like a bum during my proposal. I thought he was planning me a surprise party and that's why he wanted me to be dressed up. We wind up going to different places the entire day. We went to Chick Fil A, a horrible sports store with dead animals lol, the mall, dollar tree to try to glasses, and then we went out to eat (double date because we court YHWH's way with a chaperone).

All this time, I didn't know that they were setting the scene for my special day.

When we arrived back at Shadrach's house, it was cold and I wanted to go inside the house. I sat on the couch until they convinced me to go outside for like 5 minutes. We started walking and I thought I was going to get eaten by a monster lol. (City girl kinda lol). I told them if something pops up, it's every man for themself. I walked and I saw the really pretty 'hang out' and I was like, ya'll hang out is DOPE. Then I walked some more and I see the "Will you marry me sign." At first I didn't think it was for me, I thought it was for someone else. He asked me if I would like to see more and I was like NO lol #StillInShock.

I screamed, I thought your dad said NO #InsideJoke and everyone started laughing....

Then he asked me would I be his forever and I thought I answered #longpause wondering why was he still on his knee and then I realized that I didn't answer and shouted YES.
